XY is an intense and poetic science fiction story, reminiscent of Margaret Atwood's "The Handmaid's Tale". It's a deep book, with a very feminist viewpoint, which I can almost guarantee will make male reader's squirm. From previous commentary, women readers are clearly enjoying this. But it also has a sympathetic and sexy approach that will hold a male reader's attention.
In short, it is a great commentary on an undeniable and regrettable aspect of our society: gender warfare.
Further comments anyone? (If you don't add any, I definitely will!)
