Glad to make your acquaintance. Whatever I say about this story will sound superficial and cliched. Suffice to say I was mesmerised. Such language and imagery. And such a FEEL for the power of language. I could see and feel everything you were describing. And I kept thinking 'Joyce... Steinbeck... Faulkner... Thomas' - none of which is fair to you as a writer. It's your voice. It's a very powerful one. Look forward to reading more.
