haunting

The poem haunting seems sad at best. Leftboy appears to have tajken strings of words from other people's poems and sewn them on to create a mis-fit sweater. the excerpt below is such an example .
The lines seem familiar. Haunting has no depth just a ranting and exhibition of pomposity.

If you're attempting a retaliatory attack for your poem 'fragments', could I politely point out that Leftboy didn't start that particular thread, and therefore shouldn't be the object of your vitriol? And while the author of that particular thread could be considered tactless (something *cough* some of us are guilty of being), attacking in this manner, on this particular forum, just isn't the done thing. He *did* apologise for offending you, and it *was* his opinion, which he is certainly entitled to. Thanks, AG
i find leftboy quite dandy not seen him around in a while ... has he left?
Actually, i am not attacking or being retaliatory. i have an opinion which I also deem necessary to voice as he does. After all we are in a free society. And haunting to me did seem to have elements of other people's words in them. It is an opinion after all. and opinions are what fuell discussions which fuel change etc. Actually i am not a vindictive nor vicious person. having gone through a near death experience , it becomes impossible to be vicious. Having the inability to walk for over a year lends itself to one not having the capacity to hate nor be vicious. I don't view what i voiced as an attack. Frragments is about one pure moment, one pure moment in the chaotic life that we in our society all seem to lead. haunting, i feel, could be more, somehow, if he dug deeper into himself.

So, in other words, this thread is also about your poem 'Fragments', which you incorrectly feel that Leftboy slagged off, and therefore, by offering up your dislike of Leftboy's 'Haunting', re-refer our attention to your poem 'Fragments', which no-one other than yourself seems to 'get' completely. I see. "Having the inability to walk for over a year lends itself to one not having the capacity to hate nor be vicious.". Oh, I seriously doubt it. Humans are capable of all sorts of feelings before, during, and after incapacitation. Glad you made it through, though. And I will point out again, Leftboy didn't start that thread.
He's a good lad that Leftboy. Full of drugs, but a good lad all the same. Here's the link to haunting. Credit given to any man who can confront his demons. I enjoyed this poem, it's honest, it's culturally significant, and it ties in well with the catholic church's decision to ditch limbo. Gee, thanks popey. As for you, naughty jvriesema, I would like to know more about your nde. I project quite regularly and I can still be a nasty bastard. Why couple an nde with being nice and everything? Just because you've had a nde it doesn't make you incapable of being an arsehole. Thanks for the link, Yan. I enjoyed Haunting, too. The sense of the 'fucking terrifying' is there with power and honesty. I didn't find it derivative - if it is, I didn't notice. And I definitely didn't find it pompous. The opposite, in fact. Economical, unaffected. And comprehensible. I think he dug deeply enough into himself with it.
