Hacking into Children's X-Boxes

There was a recent news report, which described hackers hacking into children's XBoxes.  Those hackers have been caught.  Their excuse was that they wanted to highlight hacking danger.

In my opinion, that was a lame excuse, which only proved that the hackers were the dishonest ones, no-one else, otherwise they would not have indulged in such lowly behaviour.  Had they really wanted to highlight X-Box hacking, they could have bought their own Xbox and hacked into those.
