i always look forward to diaries of a desk girl - and this piece, though a little rough around the edges manages to convey so movingly the experiences of being a muslim in these troubled times.

i love the juxtaposition of these two celebrations and the narrators observations - the only bit that didn't ring true was at the wedding when she kept thinking someone was missing but couldn't remember who - i feel that moment would have only lasted a second or two before she remembered, considering she had already been thinking about it. But others may disagree.

Enjoyable reads, ty

I fell in love with the swing of this piece. You're absolutely right - it's enlightening and humbling. Hear my music: http://music.download.com/3600-5-100795586.html
