What are you reading right now?
Hi all, what is everyone currently reading, what genre do you opt for? I know my reading choices tend towards the "young adult" section of the library I guess my interests have not aged as much as I have, I must admit anything by Robin Jarvis sucks me in and I am sure its aimed at thirteen year olds! anyway I have just read The Hunger games by Suzanne Collins which I loved...you?
Book of short stories by Neil Gaiman called Fragile Things and A Study in Sherlock. It's book of Sherlock Holmes tales written by contemporary writer's. Laura Lippmann, and coincidentally Neil Gaiman etc. It's what got me started on Holmes and Watson things I've been doing.
Rich
Leaves of grass- Walt Whitman- 1855 edition
The Divine Comedy and 'The Drowned and the Saved' by Primo Levi.
Star of the Sea - Joseph O Connor - is good
Into the Wild - Jon Krakauer.
White Fang - Jack London.
Two recent ones I enjoyed, both very short reads.
Maggie Cassidy - Jack Kerouac
On The Road was excellent, so I'm looking forward to what this has to offer.
Steve,
On the road was delivered last week (thanks Amazon!), just got to get to reading it now! Will be the first I've read of his.
Last book I finished was the excellent Angelmaker by Nick Harkawy. Am currently reading a book about Brian Clough and Don Revie, Richard Dawkin's the magic of reality and John Ronson's the Psycopath Test.
I loved Last Orders, I have his new one in my to read pile.
I've no idea what genre that little lot fits into
The Flight of Icarus - Queneau. Tremend thus. As is all his work.
