Free short story competition - commonwealth writers
The annual Commonwealth Writers Prize is open for business: http://www.commonwealthwriters.org/prizes/commonwealth-short-story-prize/entry-rules/.
Winner of each commonwealth region wins £2,500, with £5,000 for the overall winner.
Deadline 30 November, 2,000 - 5,000 words, entrants must be a member of a commonwealth country over the age of 18. One entry per person, entries must be previously unpublished. The ruling of the chair on questions of eligibility is final (last year they let the table decide, and that was a total disaster).
I support the table! (Why, can't it stand on it's own four legs? That's my trouble,I waste too much time getting involved in the struggles of others). Thanks for posting this info, I might read some of the entries if they are readily available, make my own mind up which have the most star quality Elsie
Nice One...
Cheers for the Heads Up
Wow, two weeks left and I wonder if anything inspirational will actually happen in New Zealand?
Oh well... never mind... the fishing is pretty good and if worse comes to worst, I guess there's always a mountain or golf buggy to climb... Phew.... so few people... so many sheep!!
Bon Chance to all entering this cool comp..
