this is dense and takes you on a almost unbelievable journey into the mind of a rather unsavoury character, yet i felt sorry for him too. The piece is atmospheric, and visual and doesn't let up all the way to the end.

However i nearly gave up a the beginning and i really think you need to cut the first 4 paragraphs and start on the line 'we walked along the bridle path'.

good tale, well told.
