Thank you!!

Although this is a boring discussion thread I would just like to say thank you very much for the first cherries I received - my mum always taught me to say thank you!! It has encouraged me to keep on writing and although I don't think it is my best poem I am just glad to have finally been cherry picked. RichardW has advised me not to give my cherry away - not sure what he means by that!! :-) But I will guard them very safely. Can I also say, whilst I have your attention that I very much like anthony dicken's work and if you haven't checked it out well.... you should!!

Thanks spaghetti sigh. Not sure about coming down to London and it is not just because I don't want to see you in your not-so glorious real life looks!! It would be really interesting to see all the authors of the work I read, in the flesh so to speak!! Unfortunately I live up in here bonnie Scotland and going to London is a wee bit out of my way! By the way I have always wondered - where did the name Spaghetti Si come from? I am very fond of pasta but I am not sure that I would want to be called after it. :-)

I can do a long or short version of it. I think i'll do that short version. When I first moved out of mummy's house I had a crap "McJob". So to be able to afford to eat I lived on Spaghetti on toast, once a day I did this. I lost three stone from 15 to 12 stone. Sadly I am back up to 14 stone but that is why I was called Spag Sigh. Shame you can't make it to London. We should have a meet or an abc tellers not in bonny Scotland one day. Oh well I love your stuff, very cool indeed!

I should maybe try this diet - could always do with losing some weight!! It would be great if there was an abctales event somewhere closer to Scotland, if you ask me everything seems to based in London. Anyway enough of my moaning!! Sarah.

Fishwife encourages and discourages me in equal amounts. She encourages me to keep writing, even when all l can write is tripe, and makes me believe that I can do it. Then l look at her work (specifically, I'm thinking of her poem "insider") and l think "whats the point? She's done it far better than l could ever dream of doing." So, Fishwife, in equal measure, Thanks for the kindness, and your belief in me, and thanks a bloody bunch for making me feel like a crappy scribbler. :o)
