Got to admit, I love it too! The T-shirt suppliers (sadly) don't do Oxford Blue shirts - but then again, the fact that the bird nicked his Oxford Blue short could explain why he was wearing a T-shirt with his poem on instead!)
BTW, I've now done a mock-up of the T-shirt design here so you'll have an idea what they'll look like. Feedback welcome (NB: the poem is there purely for test purposes rather than cos it's been chosen)
OK, to make this work, how about everyone puts a list of their top ten poems in this thread (I'll promote it on the front page and in the Daily Tales so that it's not just people on the forums that will get a chance to enter)
At the end of next week, I'll allocate one point to every poem (or piece of prose) allocated a number 10 position, 2 for a poem allocated a number 9 position going up to 10 points to every poem allocated a number one positions. Then I'll add up the results and the poems with the most points will go on the T-shirts. Got to move quickly so that there's plenty of time for everyone to buy them for christmas ;-)
On which note, if you want to buy generic ABCtales mousmats, mugs and T-shirts, we've now got a shop at Cafe Press so buy them for everyone you know and help us raise loads of money for The Big Issue! All the prices are in dollars so I've done a quick conversion for you:
$14.99 = £10.30
$15.99 = £10.99
$16.99 = £11.68
$17.99 = £12.37
$18.99 = £13.05
$20.99 = £14.43
$22.99 = £15.81
$24.99 = £17.18
The only problem with these suppliers (believe me, we've been looking for people for months! There may be someone else who can do it in 6 months time but I figure you'll want T-shirts up there for Christmas so this is a short-term solution) is that the shipping to the UK is rather a lot - $20 (£13.75) for the first item and a far more reasonable $5 (£3.43) for every additional item, so I'd strongly recommend teaming up with other ABCtalers who live near you to bring the shipping price down (ie, get them sent to one address and divide the shipping between you)
If there aren't any other ABCtalers near you and you're based in the UK, drop me a line and we can use ABCtales as the central address and post them out to you from there (probably work on you sending us a cheque and us putting it on the company credit card)
Cheers
Em
