From There To Here by Tom Saunders
"In Los Angles old England has always glistened green and grey in the imagination. There is pleasure to be had here, I'm primed to enjoy the low sky, the soupy smell of rot in the air."
Makes a change to find an American writing about rural England in such an original way.
I really enjoyed this story of revisiting lost love, its sad but not maudlin tone and avoidance of cliche.
Cheers, Neil. Glad you liked it.

I REALLY enjoyed that and the whole blog...one of the few advantages of being ill is having time.
Thanks, Jude. You get well now.
