Hi MVJ,
for me, I'm not sure that you've managed to say anything new about Summer. It's important, I think, to try to say something new, or say something in a new way.
Poetry is a bit of a complicated thing.
I'd suggest having a look at this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poetry
It's a good start for learning more about form and language in poetry, because, ultimately, that's what poetry is all about.
I'd suggest that you might need to read some more poetry and try to work out what you like and why it works.
It mights seem boring or prescriptive to try to work to one particular structure or one particular set of poetic rules, but it's not. It's the way that you learn to write poetry. Eventually, you'll be able to choose the best form for what your trying to say.
To do that, though, you need to know the different forms. If you don't learn about them, you're stuck with trying to do stuff when you don't really know how it works.
Cheers,
Mark
