Sorry for shouting, but in the last hour or so, your favourite writers' and readers' website has won one of the new media Oscars, a Yell Award.

ABCtales has taken the prestigious Arts and Music prize in a tough fight with five other short-listed sites.

Founder, John Bird, and ABCtales Editor, Emily Dubberley, were at the glittering London showbiz bash to pick up the gong.

The band was playing too loudly to get a sensible quote out of either but let me say on behalf of ABCtales and youngABCtales we are very, very proud. We also know that our website exists and is good because of the community it has spawned, so, guys, well done you lot as well. We're proud of you.

What's so great about this site is that it accepts anybody's work, even if it's crap! It's also much better organized and uploading your work is much easier to deal with. Of all the short story sites I've tried submitting my work to, this one is by far the best. Great job, ABCTales!
