Radio 4 You and Yours
As an interesting piece of market research I wonder if any of you heard me on You and Yours on BBC Radio 4 in the UK today (Wednesday 21st November) between 12.30 and 12.45? I went with my 'Founder of GetEthical.com' hat on rather than CEO of ABCtales.com because it was more appropriate.
For those who may be wondering I was debating the possibility of a world without advertising with the psychologist, Oliver James and the DG of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising, Hamish Pringle.
It was all quite jolly knockabout stuff!
four months is a long time to go without an answer to your last effort, 9Peter Kirby) According to some of the people with whom I associate with seem to think that I am a misfit.
I don't aggree with all that they say, does that make me stand out in a crowd? I am 65 and until rcently I have fallen foul of the PC police. I would in all honesty when in a meeting of Politicions and Civil serants, say (Without malice or forethough) well I think the nigger in the woodpile is---
I was just using a term that I had grown up with. I have now extended my vocabulary to the extent that I can now suggest that the same result might be to say "The common denominator is --"
The end product is the same,"disagreement" but then what can you expect if you are just there to make the numbers up?
And that's without being Hyperbolic' There are some people that you just can't satisfy in any vein, maybe that is why I listen to radio two.

I am sorry to hear / or to read of your exploits with the shrink. From my experience through my ex being a manic depressive. Are you well or not? I have always found that the shrinks are worse than the patient. They must be to understand the problem. Sycotic problems are not like a broken leg when everyone asks"how long before the cast is off?" There are no outward symptoms, so there is no sypathy,
Hence no questions "how is your shrink" is never the enquiry.
But I digress the advertising system is full of shrinks or as an advertsing agency would refer to them as "Trick-cyclists"
Never mind just keep trundling along and filling us with enthusiasm

hello tony
as a misfit in the advertising world i find your ad-free world neither utopian nor dystopian, just pure which you can't lay a judgement on. So few things are pure nowadays. I'm not sure we know whether something's tainted or not any more.
I keep a pleasure diary jotting down stuff which just lifts me a wee bit, and i stumble across these levitational things invariably when i am walking. This is as close as i come to finding a pure world, a world without ads, without spin, without hyperbole.
Give me lowperbole any day
cheers
