A great read, much like a young Stehen King. And, of course, exploring the theme of childhood fears. well written.

A great title and great story. However i did feel you told it rather than showed it. Paticularly as you have posted it as 'children'. It would have more power if you got back inside your self as a little boy and told it from his perspective. I want to feel his fear and see what he sees, i want to be able to hold the tiger gun in my hands. Hope this helps - i think it could be an even better story. Juliet

I think I agree with Juliet. A child's perspective would have given it an extra punch. But a great story about the power of the imagination.
Thank y'all for taking the time to comment. I kept the story brief, as written, in order to comemorate a friend, Carl Perla, who had given me the idea for the story. Carl left us soon afterwards, but his idea lives on in this story. Gratie mi amico, Carl. J.X.M
