This piece eloquently describes growing up and moving on. Some of the description is really moving and had me smiling in recognition.

I am not sure about the title i don't think it does justice to the piece, maybe use a bit of the prose e.g 'I found someone else I could love'

I also felt the final paragraph is not needed, the regret is obvious and the piece seems to naturally end where it begins.

A very enjoyable read.

Thanks for all the insightful comments. As far as the title, while it certainly can have different meanings, it's most prominent is to represent the regret the main character faces.
