Please read Double Cross

Hello everyone.

I am new to this site and have just posted my first story. I would very much like you to read "Double Cross" and let me know what you think.

I thank you in advance, and am very much looking forward to spending time on ABCTales.

Or anything in my portfolio would be okay to read. If you want to. If you will. Ah... hello?
Paul, the protocol - as you'll see from looking at other forum posts - is generally that, to begin with, you spend time reading and commenting on other people's stories and poems. If you come across something in Recently Added you enjoy, why not flag it up with a link in a new thread? After a while, if you're also posting work, someone who has enjoyed your writing or feels they have something worthwhile to say about it will post a thread about it. It's not 'wrong' per se to request feedback for your own work - it's just that everyone who posts on abctales is implicitly asking for feedback anyway, so your request is unlikely to make much difference. Readers tend to feedback on authors they're interested in, and, failing that, on authors who've given them help in the past. Hope that clarifies things.
Hi Paul, Another hint to get reads is to split long stories into segments no longer than 2-2,500 words. It can be very tiring to read long works on the computer screen. I had a peek at a couple of yours, and they were really long! That said, I'm at home with a spotty boy today, and I'll try to have a read if he leaves me alone for a few moments. I’m a reader of horror and fantasy, and also a writer of the same genres, so I’ll read with interest. Cheers, Lisa
Okay, rokkitnite. I see now. Thank you. I have been very active in another writing site and things were different there. I didn't understand. I will indeed read other people's work. To mfcostes: Thank you for the sharp eye. I will fix that. The 3/4 thing is a glitch in the transfer of the story to this site. Where you find them they are supposed to be em-dashes. I will fix it. I haven't gone over my work here very much because I want realistic ratings and everytime I go to my stuff it increases the read count. To Lisah: Yeah, that is the way it is on the other site as well. But I will have to think hard before deciding to break my stories up. Thanks for the advise.
