Would anyone have any tips for getting published or, where would be good to look?

Also if you have any publishing experiences I would love to hear about them!

Hi Matthew The major tip I'd offer is to write as much as you possibly can. The more you write the better you get and the more confident you get - it's as simple as that. You'll need a thick skin too. Don't get disheartened at rejection! Everyone gets rejected. It's the people who bounce back from the rejection that get published. Have confidence in your ability and just keep ploughing on through! Aside from that there are no magic bullets and no secret formulas. It takes hard work, perseverence and not a little luck. But if you are good enough you'll make it in the end! Good luck :) Kris ......................... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Satanic-Diaries-Krister-Jones/dp/1909224340/ www.thesatanicdiaries.net www.facebook.com/thesatanicdiaries
i'm just not quite sure where to start to get something published- like who i can talk to or apply to! But i will keep writing because it's my outlet and I enjoy it!

Hi, Matthew, there are different publishing options...Indie and traditional are the big ones. Stay away from vanity publishing, and if your MS is accepted, but you are required to pay towards publication, walk away! You should make sure you have a polished MS, and then decide which route is for you. I wish you all the best :)
do you have any examples?

Others on here will be better placed to comment on Indie publishing...I think 'CreateSpace', and 'feed a read' are two I have heard of. I haven't used that route, although I may yet do so. I am trying out the traditional publishing route...jury still out on that! It moves very slowly! Hope that helps :)
thank you so much! and good luck to you~!
