Inspiration point (IP)

This week's IP is inspired by Queen Beatle's wonderful poem Everything Shower. All peoples of the world have their own myths, the characters and stories handed down outside religion and faith. Could you  find a way to introduce a mythical character or story (from any part of the world) into an everyday occurance that you know well?
