C'mon, who is responsible for that cherry? I can't believe you gave one to that, it's bloody awful. It's a sympathy cherry isn't it? Some entries I'm quite pleased with but that certainly `aint one of them. But thank you anyway all cherries gratefully received. Now I'll go back and find that it wasn't meant for me and it's dropped to the entry below mine. That's the way my day's been. Thanks Ed's

I know what you mean Sooz, (not about you not deserving yours), but I just got an unexpected cherry too. (bra off tongs on.) It's odd how they pop up when you aren't expecting them and seem so illusive when you are. Thanks whoever gave me that anyway. Natalie

I don't think this is one of Sooz's best pieces of writing (and Sooz's best pieces of writing are very very good) - it lacks the wry self-mockery and is too coarse for me, but it's hit a chord with Tony. I think it depends on a lot of factors; which editors are reading and what mood they're in and how your latest offering compares with other recently-published items. We can always hint here if we think good stuff is being overlooked. Natalie what ARE you doing with those tongs??

She is very talented indeed. She made a filthy dirty wedding cake sculpture for our wedding, Grandpa nearly had a heart attack! Nat, do you know the BBC are looking for animators? The ad says can you do interesting things with a piece of plasticine? I thought, no, but I know a gal who can! It's all on their website.

Sooz - I enjoyed your rant, if not necessarily for the writing, just because you'd written it for yourself it didn't mess around and cut straight to the emotional chase. As such, it deserved its cherry. I found it cathartic and honest. Nice one! Joe
