I liked both of warden's pieces today. This made me laugh and its use of strong rhymes didn't piss me off - which for me is amazing!

It turns nicely as well. I like a poem with a narrative arc.

Nigel Slater AND The Sound of Music? In the same poem? Warden you are really spoiling us... I really enjoyed this poem, I'm often put off by rhyming but I think that here, it gives it the rhythm it needs and sort of compliments the humour too... I would like to meet a shark-fighting, Pamplona-bull-running, astronaut.
