POETRY MONTHLY

From the brilliant Noo:
After a trickle at the start, we had a near flood of poems for Poetry Monthly by the end! Thanks to everyone who put fingers to keyboards and wrote – there were many interesting and different takes on the theme, but three that particularly stood out for me were:
Luigi Pagano’s warm, nostalgic ‘Beautiful Day in San Remo’

London Calling’s wispy and wise ‘Flotsam’

And Parson Thru’s no artifice words, ‘4 Group, RAF Bomber Command’

Take a little time out and have a read – it will add to your day.
June’s month’s theme is ‘…perchance to dream’. Cheers Hamlet, and as usual, make the theme your own. It could be you want to explore the dream part of the quote, or the missed off sleep part of it.
What about that strange in-between state that’s not quite sleeping, not quite dreaming? I have some of my best ideas in that state (or at least that’s what I tell my family when I slope off for an afternoon nap!) Whatever you write, have fun with it and when you’re ready, submit your poems to Poetry Monthly.
