This poem is poignant and wistfully sad. So true how things we leave behind can be both a source of comfort and an amplification of our loss! Ending is simply a bit of genius!

First thing this poem did was snap a picture before my eyes of a canoe careening down the rapids. Reading it again brought a feeling of nostalgia, perhaps a bit of loss and wistful remembrance. Nicely done!

Airy and spring-like, this gentle verse evokes the fresh scents of May and the burgeoning of life in springtime. Love the moss covered wall and bluebells, nice juxtaposition of spring colors that creates an instant picture in the reader's mind....

This is apropos to our lives today, for sure! I am guilty of dabbling and paddling in a chair myself! This is a cute way to point out the urgency of living that we seem to have forgotten. Short but meaningful, nicely done.
