Poems

A collection of my poems.

Cool river water, The Tallapoosa, washes over my feet. I came here to forget how to remember but I’m flooded instead. Grandma’s home, fishing, seven.

Lullaby

Where I'm From

I am from dirt, endless curves and dusty breath. I’m from majestic, Hills that as far as I can tell reach the heavens. I’m from pine trees and scraped knees

We are

hearts scrambled on paper memories heavier than rain pointed kisses on 75 we are upside down at four a.m. letting safety drown melting into one another we are crashing fireworks
