Shipping Lanes

Every day and everywhere, in streets and parks, train stations, workplaces, offices and shops, we pass by others and others pass by us. For brief moments our lives are within feet, inches, touching distance of each other. Yet we know nothing about ourselves. It is as if we are all one people, but each of us is alone. We are like ships on the ocean, each intent on our own journey, with our own destinations, carrying our own cargo, while the sea closes over the frothy wake we leave behind us so that no sign is left of our ever having passed that way at all.

These stories our my attempt at catching brief glimpses into some of our lives as we each head to our own horizons.

Beyond Salvage

Sometimes when we are in the final waiting room, we are faced with difficult decisions...but also sometimes, those decisions are not hard to make.
