Getting read

I'm new here and I was wondering the best way to get your work read... if there is such a way. I only have three pieces posted because my browser suddenly decided to go goofy on me, but they seem kind of lonely. Any advice on the proper way to utilize the site would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Randi

Who's getting paid? All I get is coffee and no cream! As for people reading my work...they never do! Uncultured snobs! Don't they know genius when it presents itself?

Obviously not... Perhaps if you revealed yourself?

I can see this isn't a heated debate, thankfully, but is it alright if I say a few words? (He says putting his hand up and trying to attract teachers attention). I did discuss this topic with another user and we came to the conclusion that people who use the discussion boards regularly seem to attract more readers than those that don't. I suspect that there are a lot of people that read the boards and don't actually join in the discussions. Some of these will undoubtedly follow threads then think to themselves, 'What kind of stuff do these opinionated people actually write?' So perhaps extra 'reads' may be an incentive for more people to join in the scrum! I add that I post purely because I am more of a debater than a writer, but then you know that don't you?

Yep, we sure do! And, what's more, I think you're right, too. Have a slight quibble with 'these opinionated people' though... (Was a joke, Missus, a joke)
