A slight discrepancy?

primate ... what a scandal! ... do you think it works the opposite way too?

Perhaps someone liked it so much they marked it more than once? I must admit to such an unethical practice myself once or twice.....

i think i have found out why primate ... and i apologise for doing the experiment on one of your other poems ... BUT if you select a poem and then repeatedly click on the rating button it will record the rating but not a read for each time the page refreshes ... what this means primate IS ... that someone has done this to your poem ... a dirty trick ...

I wouldn't be surprised if it did fish... You can't trust anyone these days!

ah - mystery solved! Cheers Fish! It was only rated 2 though, so I guess someone REALLY hated the poem :)

I wish I never bothered to put a rating system on my stuff....it just makes you want to jump off the roof when they get a bad score......(when I first came onto abc, I tried to vote for one of my poems....couldn't though, mores the pity! FOR SHAME!) Sorry but you have to try! Primate....I for one, liked your poems..as I told you, so don't you dare point your grubby finger in this direction...o.k? (I liked the owl one best...)

Ok Linsi - I'll believe it wasn't you this time :) Seriously though, the way I look at it is that a 1 star rating is much better than no rating at all. At least a negative reaction _is_ a reaction rather than total disinterest. And it's feedback we're all after at the end of the day after all... So no roof jumpings allowed, ok? :)

all@stargate 2.1k i sneakily underwent the self-star experiment once, all one does is register with two logins then login in and out between reading pieces and self-star to your heart and logins content. I even 1 starred some of the utter dirge i find myself writing sometimes. If only i could star here at the forum. I have since removed all the contaminated work from the site including those that were cherried (gripe) as after all it was just a raffelite game; a bull-shite charge in the chinashop front of words that is our pretected art, a species in need of honest preservation. A listing status those were the time-rich SB days my friend. Now I work to order. I've also contacted new Ed 'M' 'bout my sad login effeciency sydrome. I am therefore i spam.
