Just a big hello

Hiya you two, oh still kicking about, on a bit of a go slow with writing but wrote over two hundred shorts last year, too lazy to knuckle down to novels see. I was going great on my second novel 'Better the Devil You Know' right up to chapter 21 and it was the best thing I'd ever written and then somebody very close to me got cancer and died very quickly and from then to now I haven't been able to even open the bloody thing. A mate of mine says I'm using the death thing as one big excuse not to do it and I think he's probably right, but it's been about five months now and it just gets scarier so I keep writing shorts and crap poetry and being bone idle. So hows Everyone? How's Kai Karl he must be getting big now? Thank God it's almost Spring, I hate Winter. Take care all Sooz xxx

Kai is brilliant, Sooz. Thanks for asking. He's just started "Football in the Community" for 4-7 year olds with Watford F.C. and is loving it. My advice, for what it's worth, is to forget the writing until you're ready for it. Just leave it alone. You're far too good a writer to just churn out any old crap just because you feel you ought to write. Either that or really get in touch with the pain, lose yourself in it and let yor fingers run across the keyboard wherever they want to go. If something scary comes up, then go with that energy wherever it takes you. You can correct all the typos later. Take care, Karl

Sooz, I've just read your last four postings. There's a lot of stuff on the site now, and for the most part I'm bored by the first line. You know, when writers try to get all descriptive, using any word they can think of as an adjective, as if the piece is an exercise from writing classes. I read the first line, speed-read the whole paragraph and then say bollocks to it. But your writing holds me right from the start. In particular, I loved "God n Chips" and "Till Death Us Do Part." Excellent stuff! Well done. Keep it up.

Thanks darlin`` damn I knew there was a reason I like you :-) Oh I did the whole pain thing. You can see exactly what's going on in my life by my writing. When Marian died I churned out loads of cancer/death stuff ..... two weeks ago my partner left me for another woman .. oh boy have I ridden on the back of that one. I think I've run out of 'Men are such Bastards' stories now ... and I know that's not true, it only applies to the ones I become involved with. But oh have I ben venting! Anyway I'm done now and I can write about Spring, and flowers and little lambs gambolling in the sweet, green fields. Give Kai a cuddle from me.
