Think I'm supposed to say something clever about poems, but when something just hits me, especially the way words are used, I just have to say how much i liked it.
Jumped off and bit me. Well sharp.
Yes, this is a fantastic poem.10/10
Great Stuff.

I couldn't agree more - hence the cherry. It has a fine image embedded in the core of the poem -it's original, witty and wise. This is a writer who is gettting better and better.
Yes, I knew it reminded me of another poem when I first read it..
I have to say that Unremarkable Death is one of my favourite poems on abc, I love the stark, honest almost brutal quality of it, and I never tire of re-reading it.
Wow, Unremarkable Death is amazing! That it could have a similar form to mine and yet be so completely different is astonishing- we've taken it in different directions.
I keep clicking that link and reading it over and over! :D
Thanks to josiedog, Soraia and tony - glad you like it (!!), it needs a bit of tweaking but it's almost finished, unlike most of my poetry, so I'm happy about that.
http://www.abctales.com/node/543422 - unremarkanle death (i like the title)
brutal. honest. re-readable. tight. angry. great.
one of the most powerful paras I have read in a while - almost perfect:
I want you
crossing a road in some other country
just out, fetching hleb and cigarettes.
I want you struck, suddenly
by a cheap red car with a trailer.
An unremarkable death.
Does anybody like my poem, then? Glad we're sticking to the topic :)
*sulks in the corner*
That is beautiful too :)
No problem at all, was just wondering if you liked mine just say yea or nay (or elaborate if you wanted)
xx
Thanks, Barely Black Francis! I know what you mean - and how could you help it, Unremarkable Death is... I can't find a strong enough adjective for it! If it weren't for you I wouldn't have read it :) so thank you!
And thanks, Pesky! I've just been flicking through more of your work (those that I haven't already read, that is) which is brilliant :D of course.
Cherry situation now sorted - you only have to ask and much can be amended!
