Thanks all. MP - I'm 26 (just). Thanks for the compliement, but the idea of never being as good as someone else is nonsense, and I certainly wouldn't put me as your benchmark. My favorite authors (and people I'll never be as good as!) are: Vladimir Nabokov, Kurt Vonnegut, Albert Camus and Michel Houellebecq. Try reading some of their stuff if you haven't already.
