Sending Stories to mags - envelope size!

Just a simple little question...

I've decided it's finally time to try & get those stories out there for publication in magazines, but I was wondering... for those that require posted copies & SAE's, should I be sending stuff in A4 envelopes or would half this size do? What is generally expected?
