Technology eh? Pft!

Don't get me wrong, I do like technology ' it can be fun and exciting and all that. But can't it be such a flippin' brainstrain at times?!

My missus and I have recently been involved in¦

Setting up a broadband account
Setting up new email accounts
Building a website
Figuring out how to use a Mac
Transferring files from the PC to the Mac

¦ oh and choosing, buying and figuring out the wonders of our new mobile phones and network providers.

Is it any wonder I love my PS2? Just switch it on, put in the disk, press a couple of buttons, slaughter a few Romans... simple!

I do, however, sometimes crave a life of beer, books and lying about on grassy knolls¦ :-/

Well, why don't you do more lying about on grassy knolls and spend less time worrying about 'technology' then? Seems simple enough... ;-)
bit wet for grassy knoll lying today

Simple yet ingenious, AG... Watch out, grassy knolls! (I quite like the idea of lying on grassy knolls in the rain... naked... with a pot of honey... but that's just me...) ~PEPS~ You can’t finish a man till he’s finished his Texan Bar

I love a grassy knoll but it's been too wet lately. I hate technology. The more you get the more it breaks down and the more time and energy you have to spend grappling with it and it's a bore and a chore and a con. ;-# There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

I hate the trappings of technology and the fact that we are pretty much slaves to it, but I am attracted to its undeniable allure... I love gadgets & computer games & nifty little bits of software! But I hate having to learn how to use stuff... and can't stand it when things go wrong... ~PEPS~ You can’t finish a man till he’s finished his Texan Bar

Ach, ye olde technology. How I long for the days when we used to sit around the camp fire, knapping flints and chatting about the last wooly mammoth we chased over a nearby cliff. But, no, some fool had to stick a camera into a mobile phone. Photographs of earlobes are useful, I gather. There's nothing like broadband for breaking down. I've examined my local exchange more often than BT has. Bring back Royal Mail, I say. My webpage is at: http://www.bookscape.co.uk
