The Holographic Universe

I've been doing a bit of reading on the idea that the Universe is Holographic in nature and that by implication, objective reality dose not exist?

The apparent solidity of the Universe is merely an allusion, everything experienced is temporary and a deception that manifest in the mind?

It got me thinking!

If this was the case, Could it not account for such phenomena as say....The omni presence of the Holy Ghost?

The apparent instantaneous communication between Particles over any distances?

And that kind of thing?

hmm..I think you're confusing the two holographic models. The foundation of the 'scientific' principle is that we're merely holographs of events taking place on a horizon. The other holographic world is the fantastical one written by Michael Talbot (leaning on Bohm for a sense of validity). Two totally different theories: the former taken seriously by the scientific community. The latter a dreamy bag of kak written by some nutter. ;) When the power of love overcomes the love of power, we'll find peace. - Jimi Hendrix

'I think you're confusing the two holographic models' More than likely Yan. But my curiosity remains. Let me rephrase the question on the bases of the latter model as described by Yan2. The principle being that, as Yan puts it... 'we're merely holographs of events taking place on a horizon. Well, Ok. Presumably this would imply an existential reality that is in some way independent of our own perceived reality? i.e, Perceived reality is 'external' to our own sense of 'I', as apposed to the idea that we exist as part of a tangible Universe? I'm sure some hear are acquainted with the idea that 'Consciousness' or our sense of it, could be equally described as an 'external' projection of our own self's? On this bases i refer you back to my original question. 'If this was the case, Could it not account for such phenomena as say....The omni presence of the Holy Ghost? The apparent instantaneous communication between Particles over any distances? And that kind of thing? :D
hmm..I think the holographic principle puts us firmly on the map in a 'tangible' universe...but in duplicate..lol. I think Hawkings solved black hole information loss by referring to the HP?? Not sure..it's been a long time since I read up on it. But I'm looking forward to witnessing the advancement of neuroscience during the second half of my little existence. All good stuff. in duplicate!! Shit! That will bug me for monthes Yan. :D
Shamans and metaphysicists have their own views on this; not incompatible, by any means... http://www.thepowerpath.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcatego...
Exactly a.g. Reminds me of a book I read, 'The Dancing Wu Li Masters'. I believe I still have it. "A most interesting view of how modern physics has striking parallels with psychology and eastern mysticism". A most interesting book. Has any one read it?
