In my experience, feedback works better in small, more reliable groups. Could ABC possibly set up 'Groups' for writers who actively give feedback to each other, and by keeping the group small, all in that group can get feedback.

jake, you can effectively do the same thing by emailing other contributors. when i find things on the site that i really like i sometimes email the author, and this often results in a dialogue. i know other people do the same. the benefit of course is that you are more likely to end up talking to people with similar writing tastes to your own, and getting feedback from people whose opinions you value. [not suggesting that some people's opinions don't matter of course; but you know what i mean]
