Delhi Rape

Hmmmm. This was an exceptionally horrendous attack. The lady and a male companion boarded what they thought was a bus – well, it was a bus, but it was driven by joyriders. They knocked her companion out with an iron bar, and then six men, including a juvenile, raped her. They then used a rusty blunt object to penetrate her, possibly causing the injuries to abdomen, intestines, uterus and genitals which led to her death.

If that wasn’t enough they threw both of them off the still-moving bus, turning around to try and run her over, but her companion managed to pull her out of the way. According to reports, one of the accused men admitted to having seen a rope-like object, assumed to be her intestines, being pulled out of the woman by the other assailants on the bus.

She died 17 days later, putting up a good fight not only at the rape scene but also in the hospital.

The world will possibly be a better place without these men

Agree with Karl. Totally.  In this case, they all deserve to die. Unfortunately it will probably be in a more humane way that their victim.  .

I am saddened that they have not been de-willied first.  I don't believe that rape is an acceptible act under any circumstances and in this case, hope that their sentences will act as a positive deterant for what is all too common in India and numerous other countries, where women are considered 'possessions' and inferior to men.  No woman deserves to be abused by any male... so... "Off with their heads!!" 

What the gang did was truly horrible. I do not want them dead.  If I was the judge I would sentence them to forced labour for 15 years in jail and then consider parole       Elsie

They are lucky to be hanged - in India of old, execution by elephant was a common punishment, involving crushing, dismemberment etc.
