Writers Brew

This is a great site (I've had a few things published here):

www.writersbrew.fsnet.co.uk

Online site for Writers Brew Press, including news, competitions, reviews, markets, critiquing service and a free S.P.E.L.L. newsletter.

Amanda Gillies (who runs the whole thing) is a lovely lady who always takes the time and effort to help, support and encourage new (and established) writers.

Well worth checking out...

Just checked out the site. Amanda is a very talented lady with her painting, poetry, sculpture and emboidery, but can she knit?

Hi Andrea Just wanted to say that 'Writers Brew' seemed like a very nice, friendly site. I'm going to post a link to it on my site. Also, thanks for visiting - I left you a message! sarahjane

Dunno, Fecky, never asked her - didn't want to push me luck. Thanks, Sarah, will check it out - glad you liked WB, been wanting to promote them for ages. Er, Em, sent you a mail on the 'add a link' thingy (for WB) ages ago, but never heard anything and, as far as I know, they're still not there. You going to add them? Please?

Writers Brew also does a mailout to hundreds of writer's groups for a reasonable fee. Any of you lovely people out there on the list? If so you will have received some info on ABCtales in the last round.

Dear Andrea, It is indeed there at http://www.litmate.com/links.php?cat=1 -added on 3rd July (front page of 'sites for writers' category) Cheers Em PS: Didn't try your hangover cure cos the mere thought of alcohol made me feel very ill indeed (and I didn't have the ingredients in the house and couldn't face going shopping!) but have taken it down for future reference

D'you mean the S.P.E.L.L thing, Lisa? If so, it's free (and excellent). Well, I get it free, anyway. Hmmm

Oh, right - thanks Em (re WB). Re the hangover cure - was passed on to me by a Spanish millionaire ( now defunct, due to alcohol poisoning) wot I used to work for in my misspent youth. Never did work for me, either...
