Recycling ideas ie stealing!
I was wondering if people think its ok to use other writer ideas. The Xfiles on TV does it all the time!

Yes, there's a fine line between inspiration and theft. But some excellent examples are abound. Witness what the Coen Brothers did with The Odyssey in O Brother Where Art Thou? Simon Armitage's The Two of Us. Our very own Eddie Gibbons is a fine producer of parodies. It's always okay to nick something as long as you acknowledge the original in some way and give it a fresh new twist.
