XJOTS - eXpressive Journalism Off The Script

I just wanted to draw your attention to XJOTS, a new journalism/writing/poetry project where all kinds of noteworthy writings can be found. This is from the editor-in-chief:

Dear Reader,

Please allow me to thank you for viewing this message. Getting right to the point, you are cordially invited to assist with a new and growing journalism project called “XJOTS.” It stands for Xpressive Journalism off the Script.

XJOTS.com was started as a means for anyone with access to the internet to publish their thoughts and feelings in the form of articles of news or commentaries on events important to them. That’s where you come in to the picture. We welcome you to ‘express’ yourself at our site and become one of many contributors. But why?

XJOTS.com is a independent media project for journalistic writing. It’s our desire to present transnational articles, commentaries, columns, interviews, creative writings and more from all over the Web and the World. Many of us are tired of the same old beauracratic traditions of mainstream media. So we are here to challenge the traditional face of journalism and strongly encourage the global populace at large to report and journalize their own perspectives. Hence, why we are "off the script."

We as staff members of this project feel, with such a variety and vast contribution from global citizens, that a fair outlook may be determined on various issues facing any nation. This is why reaching out to as many people as possible is so important to this project, and why we are reaching out to YOU.

That means YOU can participate with bringing eyewitness news, or personally experienced events and perspectives to the world as an as a contributor.

Our quest, among other things, is to provide a central location for world citizens to publish and read journalistic works online from all over the globe. This helps us to be greatly extensive and inclusive with this purpose. We wish to include people who would normally not have a chance to say much about various topics to submit personally created articles and other unique writings, whether journalistic or artistic.

We hope this message was easily understandable. Yet, if you have any questions feel free to email us at staff@xjots.com or visit the website (http://www.xjots.com) and click “forum” to contact one of us for more information.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

XJots Staff & Support
