Although there are some truly horrible typos in this (please correct them!) it really is a fine piece of writing. It takes us through a traumatic incident in stop/start sequences that may or may not be in or out of order. It doesn't matter. Original and good:

The typos at the beginning almost put me off, but I'm so glad I continued reading, I became engrossed in the story very quickly and the typos stopped mattering. The final paragraph had me crying. Pain and joy!

Thanks, for the comments. I noticed the mistakes only after I'd published it, but having read about people losing the Cherry-Picked after editing their piece slightly, I have refrained from doing so... Should I just edit it?
