Cricket (the end of summer)

Reading 'Henderson The Rain King'.
There is so much left to happen in this game.

I am staying with Ruth in Kennington at the moment, so I am close to the action. The atmosphere is brilliant.

Terrified of the 'king of spin'. He looks obsessed.

How are you coping with the greatest sporting spectacle for years?

R

Look - I don't understand cricket at all, so could anybody tell me if it looks like we're going to win the ashes? Someone just said we were 20 minutes away from winning it, but then the bbc said, oh hell I don't know what the bbc said - just a bunch of numbers and stuff...
We are indeed just a hop skip and a jump away from victory. the South African Pietersen has seen 'us' home. Basically they need to get us all out and then score 7 more runs than us to win - and there is no longer time for them to do so. They are ours! It's in the bag! Huge grin on face - but we so nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory once again.
Whoopeee! Cheers TC.
Make a bet now! You can't lose! Crack open the champagne. This is a great, great day.
Kevin Pietersen Magnificent!!!
The ashes are ours, all ours, Mwahahaha *waltzes Matilda vigourously*
Fantastic. One of the greatest sporting moments ever.. What a team. All through the summer when one of our players failed, another took the batton, stood up and was counted. It was Peterson today. The streets of Kennington are rocking.
