Many of us are writing blogs. I am not sure than abctales is the right place to post a blog. What do you think? Some current contributions resemble blogs or daily diary entries. I take the view that this site is not really intended to be the place for unfinished thoughts or reflections.

I tend to disagree Chimpy, some of the journal/diary entries that can be found on this site consist of the best writing I have ever seen, two that spring to mind are Purplehaze and Pesky.
If you click on the genre tab under write new story the word 'journal' can be found there. Abc is the place for writers to write, surely blogs/journals/diaries are just one step away from autobiography?

Yeah... blogs are some are my favourite things to read on here.. i love some of purple haze's ones..
why else would there be an 'autobiography' section?

I agree - and no one's mentioned Sooz's harrowing diaries yet - surely some of our very best over the years.
Writing a journal is a very valid form of authorship. If it was merely a diary it would be dull - but with the wit and insight that comes from public journal writing - as opposed to blogging - then one's writing skills are truly developed.
