I Switch The T.V. On by johnshade
This is just an outpouring of genius. It has a rhythm about it that I love:
Really really enjoyed this. Particularly liked all the observations about the way the room changes colour to the TV. And the idea of particular colours having a sound.
When the character gets angry, it seems totally natural to me. Even though the narrator does not make much of it. That almost relaxing kind of anger.
If I had to make any crit, I'd say that, I think the "I switched on the TV" motif is a bit overworked. It feels a bit easy for a story that generally avoids any cliches.

Thanks for all your comments, I'm glad you liked the piece. Looking at it again I can see how the repetitions could get annoying. I guess I was aiming for the kind of soporific half-drunk slurring of the narrator's mind, but as emma points out this kind of thing can be better achieved by more understated means.
