feedback and constructive criticism for Of Dreams

I would be much obliged for anyone to read what I have of my story so far and give me some feedback.
Of Dreams is my first attempt at writing a story and I would like to know if i am headed in the right direction with my writing! I have had some friends of mine read it and they said they liked it a lot, but as my friends they might not have been totally honest with me, like not wanting to hurt my feelings or something ha... anyway thanks!
