A Few Questions (cuz I'm new here)

I'm new here and still getting a feel for the place.

First, I love what I've seen so far.

Secondly, I have few questions not covered by the FAQ.
-Does editing a pre-existing piece count as a post for the day? The reason I ask is that I keep getting a notice saying "Limited To Three Posts A Day", even though I I have yet to hit that limit. I suppose I'm chomping at the bit to get more of my stuff uploaded and keep getting stymied. It's been well over 24 hours since I posted, but that doesn't seem to be recognized by the site.

-Is there a way to Follow or Like a particular author? I've come across a few writers whose stuff I love and would love to be able to mark them for further review without having to resort to actually remembering who they are.

-What time is Tea Time, anyways? ANd how does Tea differ from High Tea? Is it the amount of grub of do the guests get nice and lit?

That is all.

I can answer a couple of your questions! Editing something you've already posted doesn't count as a new post, so it shouldn't get in the way of the three posts a day limit. If you deleted your original piece, edited it, and THEN reposted it, I think that would count Tea is a very contentious issue and what you get and when you get it depends on many different things. I would steer well clear if I were you. Hope that helps, and welcome to ABC!

For following a writer, just scribble a name down. You'll remember it soon enough. This is the best writing community around. The main thing to remember is the more comments you post for work enjoyed, the more likely you are to get comments on your own work. Give/get. As for tea, if you're in construction in the UK, it's any time there's one going. Welcome!

Hiya Durand, I've read some of your stuff, well done. Welcome to the site, I'd say it's the best on the net with a great bunch of people. I think the three a day limit is just to stop people posting their entire backlog of work in one lump and clogging up the board. To find a persons collections click on their name (pink highlighted) on any one of their pieces and it will take you to their folder. Or if they are online, click directly on their name at the right of the general page. Tea-time?... coffee no sugar, please, have we got a biscuit with that?

@FTSE100, wouldn't it be good to somehow merge the follow the author with the track button. When I first started here, I thought that by clicking on track on their page, that it would allow me to "follow" them. And the people you track would be populated on your own track page.
Thanks for all the info. The four a.m. time explains a few things. As for RSS, I can say that while I've used it, I always forget to check it. Kind of like a mail box that never lets you know that you have mail. Durand
