Thanks, Toni, for flagging it!

Loved to read this part of your novel, Polidori. The way you tell this is brilliant, the strange combination of modern council flat and 18th century romantic love language. It really works! and it struck me as something very original.
I found the inclusion of Lord Byron's Don Juan poems charming, but think the JohnDonne would have been too much. Your feelings were right.
There are some English authors who manage the feel and language of the 18h century exceedingly well. In case you are interested: read Jude Mogan's " Passion" one of my favourite books. One never can have too much inspiration, n'est-ce pas?

Thanks Yutka, I shall check that out. I’ve a sneaking suspicion I’ve had it in my sweaty mits, but once I’m in a bookshop I’m like a three year old chasing shiny things, or is that a kitten, or a magpie . . . anyway I become a deranged shiny thing chaser, smelling books, purring with contentment. I am a kitten–cat. Hope I’m fluffy.
