In praise of Poetry!

I've been amazed at the quality of many of the poems posted by ABC contributors and, as a teacher of English, I can honestly say that some of the stuff on this site is as good as (if not better) than the dross the Exam Boards choose to inflict on our GCSE students. As a response to this I've added my own somewhat humble contribution about a former student of mine who, without really trying, made a massive impact on the lives of many people, including me. Like I say in the trailer, life changing moments come from the people you often least expect.
