Short Story Feedback for Contest: Standard Procedure

Recently, I have been trying to write a short story compilation for and entry to a short story contest I found on this site. The main premise is about a doctor who finds the correlation between love and insanity. But his subject begins to evolve rapidly and more in control than his creator; which leads to horrific results. Since I am testing new waters after my poetry charade has decreased in readers steadily; I now dedicate myself to this project.
