The Westcountry
Does anyone live in the Westcountry?????
And if so, where?
Does anyone live near Exeter?
I went to Sidmouth Folk Festival this year. It was fantastic.
But, it seems, it is just me in the Westcountry. Like Andrea, I will be meeting up with myself for a natter!
Sob, sob.
Oh, but I love talking to myself, Lindy!
I've even been to Exeter...
...though not specifically to talk to myself, you understand...
Dear Lindy,
I went to Exeter University, started the Exeter Flying Post, stood for Parliament for Tiverton, had a daughter born in Heavitree Hospital, bought my first house in Coleford (the one near Crediton) and finally left (ran out of work) in 1979. My daughter then went and did the same course at the same Uni. I've still got loads of mates who live around Crediton and go back often. Some of them are ABCtalers but not, I fear, discussion boarders.
I've just checked on the Admin. function and find there are 8 people from Devon registered on the site. 2 come from Exeter and there is actually another from your town. Can't give any more info away or the Data Protection Act people will call.
The answer must be to spread the word some more about ABCtales down there! We had an article in the last issue of the Flying Post but it's maybe time we activated the Distress and Bellow or even Western Morning News to do a piece on us. I'll talk to the Communications Dept!
OK Tone, I'm listening!
sorry lindy ... no ... but i went to exeter once to catch a bus into the middle of nowhere ...
I was in Exeter a few months ago. It was raining.
I went to Plymouth College of Art 1973-76, if that's any use.
I used to mind children so I got a job as a nanny in America.
there I didn't mind at all but became famous and, this bit is a secret, very very wealthy.
Andrea
I go to Exeter to talk to myself...
into buying lots of clothes. Though it is not difficult to do.
Thanks Tony for the info. Does Abctales get more advertising in the other parts of the country? I only found out about abc tales because a Bodyshop opened in our town and it had the quarterly magazine on the counter.
Uh?
speaking of which................. ?
....exactly stormy old chum....seems a long 3 months since the last one......
hmmm ... and did you pay for your full 12 sessions like some did martin?
or are a body shopper freebie getter?
i lived in exeter for 9 years and had some great times, ok the bars and clubs are on the small side but with a uni theres a good atmosphere- if youre young. now wishing i was 10 years younger...
...and thinking of one halloween when i went round exeters pubs dressed asa cat with whiskers and tail. i'd recommend sidmouth folk festival, lots of international musicians and exeter festival, music, plays etc. think i'll move back there...
