Nurtured Evil
Adding to the article on the front page about Tony's book I thought I'd just give a very brief review. I bought this (you can too from Amazon or The Book Place) and really enjoyed it.
The writing is a bit lumpy in places. When I think of this book the words 'stood standing' will always come to me. There that's the only negative bit over with.
On to the story, Tony has a brilliant imagination and has woven a psycho serial killer as good as any I've read. the pace is good and carries you along quickly with enough padding to make you care about what happens.
The characters are real and strong. We have a marvellous mincer called Marcus (which is not the opening line to a limmerick) He's your steriotypical gay man playing the scene, he's a real bad boy but he's unbelieveably loveable. If you can imagine a psychotic Graham Norton then you have Marcus. But he's not the only nut job in this book, it's peppered with them.
This one's well worth a read.
