Every1 in here always so hostile?

I am never hostile, and I'll fight anyone in the room who says I am....

Hi , I'm not hostile, just shy and not here very much and don't know much about writing. I just enjoy the reading.

I like responding to hostility by taking the moral high ground. I write the most polite response I can and sit back to watch the other person either flounder around for a way to apologize or just dig themselves in deeper. Bad mannered people are usually self destructive like that. :D

I don't think anybody's being hostile, I had a look at the "Fanfiction" site to see what it was about. Much as I've enjoyed "Lord Of The Rings", the Harry Potter series and the earlier Anne McCaffrey "Dragon" books (is that your speciality?) I'm not inclined to write stories featuring their characters. This is because if I'm a good writer I should be able to come up with convincing characters, plots and locations of my own and if I'm not then the stories won't be very good anyway. I read two of the Fanfiction stories and thought they were both ridiculous and I doubt that the original authors would be too pleased either. I'm sure it's harmless fun and you can enjoy seeing your favourite character in some rather interesting settings but if you want to be a writer who's admired you won't get there by copying others' creativity.

And we're certainly not hostile. We may be a bit slow at times but hostility is not in our armoury!
